  • Introduction
BlueInput is the only Bluetooth HID Driver available for the Windows Mobile platform. Using our driver, you can easily connect bluetooth keyboards or mouses to your Pocket PC, and enjoy the comfort of a wireless input device.
You will see that nothing beats the speed and productivity BlueInput provides: you can type emails faster, browse the internet easier, all in one, a unique new experience, that transforms your Mobile Device into the perfect Mobile Office solution.

    Compatibility
    A) Bluetooth Input Devices Compatibility
The BlueInput Driver was designed to function with any standard HID Device. Since most of the Bluetooth Mouses or Keyboards support the HID Protocol by design, you will be happy to see your Bluetooth device works with BlueInput out of the box.
BlueInput was designed to automatically detect the way your input hardware works: the driver performs mouse and keyboard auto detection based on the Standard Report Descriptor protocol, to ensure flawless functionality.
If your mouse or keyboard is a standard Bluetooth HID compatible device, that exports the "Input Device" service, it will work with BlueInput.
    B) Windows Mobile Compatibility
You can install BlueInput on a Windows Mobile Device (Pocket PC or Smartphone), running Windows Mobile 5.0 and above. The Bluetooth Stack installed must be the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack.

    Installing BlueInput
To install the software on your mobile device, you need to download the CAB files from BlueInput download page. If the CAB file is compressed with ZIP and the download comes as a ZIP file, you will need to extract the ZIP content to your Desktop, using the trial version of Winzip. Having the software CAB file, follow the next steps:
    1.Open ActiveSync on your desktop
    2.Click Explore.
3.Copy the file to your device. You can do this by dragging and dropping the file from the folder on your desktop to the My Documents folder for your device. On the device, open File Explorer:
    4.Tap Start > Programs > File Explorer.
5.Open the folder that you copied the .CAB file into.
6.Tap the .CAB file or select the CAB file using the arrows and press the action button.
7.The application will install on your device.

    Configuration and Troubleshooting
After BlueInput is successfully installed on your Pocket PC you need to pair the Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard to the Pocket PC. To learn how to connect the Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard to your Pocket PC you should consult your Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard manual or use the following guide:
    A) How to connect a Bluetooth Input Device to your Pocket PC
Step1: On your Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard, press the connect button.
Step2: On your Pocket PC, Open Bluetooth Devices, and then click Add new device:

Step3: After the device name appears, select it, and then tap on Next.

Step4: When the wizard asks you to specify a passkey, leave the password field blank and press Next. If this fails, enter 0000 or 1234 as a passcode and press Next. You can find the exact passcode in your Bluetooth Mouse or Keyboard manual.

    B) Troubleshooting:
Here are a few solutions for error messages displayed by the Blueinput driver:
"The BlueInput driver is not responding. You need to reinstall this software." Solution: This error is caused by a problem with the communication between the Blueinput software components. You need to check if your Windows Mobile Device is compatible with BlueInput, and to try to reinstall Blueinput.
"Bluetooth is turned off. To use BlueInput, please enable your Bluetooth module!"
Make sure you are using BlueInput on a Pocket PC with WM5.0 or above and the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack. Then enable Bluetooth before using BlueInput.

Make sure your Mouse or Keyboard is correctly paired to your Pocket PC. If this error appears while your mouse or keyboard are paired, redo the pairing.
