Any chance you'll post the code for this?

Radhoo you rock!!! It works on my BA WM5.0 too!!! At last... a working speakerphone software toggle!

Ok radhoo, here will be my feedback:

#1
Image
#2
Image

As you can see, because there is a toolbar shortcut, WM5.0 thinks there is a notification awaiting response from the user. (Notice the left softkey has been changed from Phone to Notification)

In #2, tapping on "Notification" or tapping the Speakerphone toolbar shortcut will bring about the bubble window to toggle the speakerphone. I'm not sure why but the lower part of this bubble is hidden behind the lower softkey bar.

Testing
Made a call and the Start Menu shortcut works. The Calendar button works too. I have not tried the options in the bubble window as they are partially hidden at the moment.

Also, how come some BA's dialpads have the button Speaker there? Mine doesn't. How do I get that? Would love to have that button to activate my speakerphone too.

Bugs
Now is to fix the softkey issue by telling WM5.0 that the Speakerphone app is not a notification but a program, and also to fix the partially-hidden-bubble-window issue. Could the bubblewindow issue be due to a limitation in bubble sizes incorporated into the OS itself? Maybe that is
why it doesn't show the entire thing.

Suggestions
- Add option to turn the tastbar shortcut off (especially for WM5.0)
- Volume boost for Speakerphone (I noticed my speakerphone's volume is always inconsistent. This happens on the original WM2003SE or WM5.0 ROM)

We were thinking of posting the code, or at least a part of it (as it contains some libraries more important then the app itself  )

What part are you interested in?

mambojambo, again, thanks for your input

First im glad to hear that this is working on the WM5.0 for Blue Angel. I had that RUU myself for a short period then I reverted back to 2003 (Blue Angel is a great device, and the 2003 is faster). The problem is that this version of Speakerphone was created for 2003 devices.

Still, lets try to find a solution for 2005 too. I preffer the notification bubble for displaying a short info. Its based on HTML so it can easily support skins. So im going to post a different skin, it should make all the bubble visible. On 2003 devices the bubble is visible because its free to get down to whatever size it needs. On 2005 this is changed as you said it yourself:

The 'Speaker' Button in cprog (the phone) is created by the Speakerphone v1.0. If this doesnt work for you, it means some windows names are changed from 2003 to 2005. I would preffer to release a parallel version for 2005.

We are working on something that will boost your audio for playback (like when listening to music etc) but we cant do this for phone calls.

Thanks Radhoo for the reply. Once the bubble is visible and that it doesn't cause WM5.0 to think there is a notification, then this software would be more than perfect for me! Thank you soo much! I look forward to the next udpate on this tiny lil prog!

Even if this version is not for wm2005, you could try to download this bubble skin:

http://www.teksoftco.com/freeware/speak ... efault.abs

Rename it to default.abs and copy it on the device over the previous one in: \\program files\teksoft\speakerphone\skins\default.abs

This will make the bubble display smaller and should fit on wm2005 notification bubbles also. After you copy it you need to restart the device.

mambojambo maybe you can include a snapshot with the new bubble.

An update of speakerphone could also browse through existing skins

But again...time...is so short

Is the new bubble supposed to look like this? The buttons work!

Radhoo, is there a way to disable the bubble? In WM5.0, the bubble makes my left softkey into 'Notifications' instead of 'Phone'

Hi there!

I just tested your freeware and its GREAT! Just what i've been looking for for a long time and it works great!

Anyway, maybe I'm a bit fussy, hahaha.. but kinda hope that the icon doesnt appear at the top bar. I tried to disable it by taking it out from the Startup folder but then i dont get the button on my phone :(

And i was hoping that the button could be the third from the top, which is not used instead of using the call history button which may be in use sometimes.

I'm using:
XDAIIi WM2003SE

Thanks and GREAT JOB!

Thanks lipseng,

The next version will provide another solution for the current implementation with the bubble.

mambojambo had problems with it because the way the notifications work on 2005

could you explain what bad behaviour the bubble had on your device so you want it removed?

For the hardware buttons, im thinking of offering the user a choise, to map the button he wishes, because some users are used to a particular button, others to another. In this way everybody would be happy.

For the Phone button, we could assign the speaker to the third from top (which is an empty button), but careful: that button becomes "Hold" while in a call -> so you will loose the ability of using the "hold" option.
Any suggestion on what would be the best choice here?
I personally also use the "call history" pretty often, so would be great if there would be a better choice.

The bubble works fine. Just that, in WM5.0, if there is a notification, then the left softkey will change its function from 'Phone' (which launches the phone software) to 'Notifications' (which opens the bubble). Since Speakerphone taskbar shortcut is going to be permanently there, then my left softkey button will forever be 'Notifications' which I don't want to because I prefer to launch my phone from the softkey instead of pressing the Green hardware button (as I said earlier, my Green button is not sensitive anymore).

Thanks for detailing, I understood the problem from the first place, i might have expressed myself in an incomplete way

So what to do with the button in the cprog? Which button should we change?

My mistake, didnt realise its the hold button, call history button would be fine :) Or can it be an additional icon next to mute?

As with the bubble, just that the colour & icon dont really fit in with my theme :X haha.. & it's taking out limited space on top bar. At the bottom tray would be fine too, or option to disable the bubble would be great.

Keep up the good work!

Hi
I 'd downloaded and test your program.
First I want to thank you for your great work, it is fantastic.

Now, I want to tell you guys for the solution with WM5
This is what I did
1. Install the program normally
2. goto windows\startup and delete speakerphone.lnk
3. goto Program Files\Teksoft\SpeakerPhone and delete Bubble.exe
4. Assign the Rec. button in Setting\Buttons to "Toggle SpeakerPhone"

This would fix the Buble and you can still use the fuction speakerphone.
For those of you who want to record the phone call i suggest you put Note.lnk in Start menu or use the software that can record call automatically

Dear montyfert,

It's been a while since i've worked with a 2002 device. Currently we dont have those devices anymore, as they are quite old. Be our guest to try the application on your device, and let us know if it worked on a 2002 too.

Does this program enable the speakerphone when I pick up the phone? Or do I have to press a button to do this manually?

I would like to use this for in my car while navigating. Normally the green button must be pressed for 3 seconds. I would like to enable the speakerphone as soon as I press the green button.

I saw the request for auto answer and speakerphone. Doe this mean the program can auto answer OR use speakerphone currently?

Hello Arco,

The Speakerphone 1.0.001 has a button that when pressed enables the speakerphone.

It also has an option to allow auto-answering of the incoming phone calls. More details here: http://www.teksoftco.com/freeware/speak ... /index.php

You can have a look at BlueMusic, that supports autoanswering+autospeakerphone:
