BlueMusic [up to 1.0.400]

Postby Raul Tinca » Mon Sep 11, 2006 12:33 am

Hi all,
BlueMusic is a software that will allow you to listen to music played on your PocketPC with your Bluetooth headsets. It's now easy to listen to your MP3s and many other audio formats, wherever you are with your Wireless Bluetooth Headset. The software is capable of controlling the voice routing. Not only the speaker sound is routed, but also the microphone input. Now you can use your Bluetooth Headset together with Voice Over IP (VoIP) software installed on your device. This software also works with Skype.
Note: this software was created for pocket pc's with windows mobile 2005. pocket pc 2003 wont work with BlueMusic. We might add the support for 2003 in later versions.

Feedback is more than welcomed here ;)

samkatta,

the price is 5.95 EUR.
at the moment there is no way, other then the credits system, of buying BlueMusic.

for exceptional cases, we might accept direct-apple payment, but this makes things harder for us. we need to make the payment -> serial delivery sistem automatic, you can imagine that for many requests we couldnt handle this manually. so is there a good reason that would keep you from buying this software with credits? If there is, we will try to find a way of making the transaction through Paypal.

thanks for your interest,
Radu

Also here are some advantages of the credit system:

as an example, BlueMusic costs 30credits.

The user could buy a card of 10credits (2EUR) and one of 20crdits(4EUR)
Cost: 6 euro

The user could buy a card of 50credits (9EUR): price/credit = 0.18 cents
Cost: 0.18x30 = 5.4 euro

...
Best deal is the 500 credits card (50EUR): price/credit = 0.10 cents
So BlueMusic would go for 0.10x30 = 3euro . This card is intended for the close future, we are planning to release lots of other goodies.

Thank you very much for your reply.
The problem is I can't use Pay Pal for payment as it's not available in my country. Is there any other way I can pay with for credits? something like online apple transfer sites like apple.com or similar?

Dear samkatta,
sorry for the late reply - we were busy in upgrading the online store register part (so you wouldn't have the posibility to purchase the software until today). You can purchase credits with your credit card also.
Look for the "Credit or Debit Card Information" section on the first Paypal page opened after you choose the amount of credit you wish to purchase.
Master Card, Visa, Discover and American Express cards are supported by Paypal. You should check the country combobox first if its listed.
For the moment this is the only implemented pay method.

Best regards,
Raul

The new reg-engine had some minor bugs that were fixed and now everything is functional.
Enjoy Blue Music!

Before installing, my question is: Does this disable the use of voice dialing? So that the method for activation of voice dialing instead routes voice to the headset.

I feel kind of stupid asking this, but how do you buy blue music? I have a user account for the site, but if I go to teksoft.com, I get redirected to my account page. What do I do? I have 32 credits.

wgary: in the current version, BlueMusic disables the Voice Command software. But, as you have seen, the interface contains 2 buttons:
Start and Stop.

Start routes the audio to the headset and disables the voice command, Stop on the other hand, stops the audio stream to the headset, and also RE-ENABLES your voice command software. Just give it a try and see how it works for you.

michaelpThe mechanism that we've used is this:
-after you have your credits, go to the client area. Read all the text there (title: Here you can purchase serial numbers to register your software). In shorter words, you need to install the software on your device, go to the register utility on your device, as descriebed here:
http://www.teksoftco.com/products/uniqueid.html

Next paste the unique id in the Serial Key Generator at the bottom of the Client Area page (while you are logged into your account) and press "Generate". You will loose 30 credits and you will get a serial key.

Also, feel free to email any suggestions for improving/simplifying this system at support[AT]teksoftco.com

Cheers,
Radu

Can't work out how to use product

Postby rs492 » Fri Oct 06, 2006 5:21 pm

Having downloaded, installed, purchased and registered BlueMusic on an HTC Hermes (Orange SPV M3100) running Windows Mobile 5, I have not been able to work out how to use the application. Can you help me please?

Radu refers above to an interface which "contains 2 buttons:
Start and Stop". How does one get to this interface? My "programs" and "accessories" folders in the start menu have only got a link to "register bluemusic", and there is no obvious way to get to the interface described by Radu from the register bluemusic application. Similarly, the Teksoft\Bluemusic folder within program files only contains one executable, which is also to "register bluemusic".

Finally, I have tried (with 2 different bluetooth headsets) pressing the start/phone button on the headset and this does not succeed in activating the bluemusic interface.

As a result, I am unable to find any way to route sound to the headset even though I have BlueMusic installed.

What am I missing here?

Thanks.

Hi rs,

In the Products section there are some pictures:

one of them shows the "interface" and the Start/Stop buttons:
http://www.teksoftco.com/products/bluemusic/pic2.png

After Bluemusic is installed on your device, go to Start->Settings->Today->Items . You should see the BlueMusic entry there.

All you need is to have this today plugin running.

Also, on your HTC hermes you could install the Smartphone version of bluemusic, the v1.0.210 in case you continue to have problems with your today screen. Im not sure, but its possible that orange has installed some kind of customization on your today screen that is causing you all these problems.

Regarding the folder program files/teksoft/bluemusic, it also contains the bluemusic.dll file, that is loaded as the todaty plugin mentioned before, but File Explorer doesn't show the DLLs by default.

Regards,
Radu
