BlueInput 1.5

Postby radhoo » Fri Oct 03, 2008 1:22 pm

BlueInput is a Bluetooth HID driver, that allows you to use any Mouse or Keyboard with your Windows Mobile Pocket PC!

BlueInput is the successor of BlueMouse. The name was changed to better reflect the true functionality of this software: - a driver for both mouses and keyboards

Starting with version 1.5, the keyboard support has been improved.
The keyboard code in 1.2 has been 100% rewritten, for better compatibility.

Also several bugs have been fixed:
- "Mouse connected but appears as disconnected" bug.
- support for Microsoft Bluetooth mouse 5000, 8000 and some more
- backlight timeout handled

A new GUI has also been added, to handle most of the new features.

To download the software visit this link:
http://teksoftco.com/index.php?section= ... b=download

Important: The registration in this new version uses the Owner name (instead of the confusing 8 Digit ID Code). So when registering BlueInput, check your Owner name in Start->Settings->Owner information, it's all you need to provide.

Users of the previous BlueMouse software, can upgrade their license keys here:

The newly released and renamed BlueMouse -> BlueInput software interface looks great on my HP iPaq 212. Just a pity I can't use it because of the Widcomm / Microsoft BT stack issue.

Yes, BlueInput 1.5 works with the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack only.

Which hardware

Postby Jaeger » Fri Oct 10, 2008 9:51 pm

is there a list of devices and hardware that BlueInput is known to work with? Device-mouse-keyboard combinations that work would be very helpful, I may get a stand-in mouse until the MoGo is supported.

Great software!

At difference of BlueMouse 1.2 now BlueInput is fully functional on my JASJAR (WM5-last official rom) and I've not encountered any problem with installation and management of the sofware. My mouse is the MS Notebook Mouse 5000.

I've purchased a registration key last night.

Only, important, problems that I encountered is that the cursor have sometimes a little delay and especially have a inerzial move.
In the configuration panel the setting, also the cursor speed, not solved the problems.

Do you see this delay right after a reset? (when there are not too many programs running)

No, it happen always but only when I move the mouse fast.

Moreover, the cursor, during movement, it is lightening and not fluid.

Maybe is also necessary, in configuration panel, a control of mouse sensibility.

Do you have any task manager that shows the CPU usage?

It might help to post a list of your tasks and the CPU usage when using BlueInput.

Smartbar had such a task manager, I'm not sure if it's compatible with your device.

I hope that it will be useful:

Now I have installed last RC4 version and the problems previously described are still.

From the screenshot you can notice that sometimes, during refresh, the cursor has some problem of visualization or disappear for a moment.

Thanks for the screen shot and details.

It is with the Omnia, but I'm not sure about the Apple BT keyboard.

Is it HID compatible? Can you use it with a PC?

You should definitively download the trial version of BlueInput and give it a try.

Hope this helps.

Is Apple Wireless Keyboard working with BlueInput? It it really cool little keyboard, but I am not sure that it would work.

Here is what wikipedia says: "...it can also be used on a Windows PC providing that a Bluetooth receiver and appropriate Bluetooth stack is installed and properly configured. Enabling use of the 'Fn' and 'Eject' keys will require customization using a generic HID driver".

So, I tested Apple's keyboard in the store - it is not working.

I can connect it with standart bluetooth utility and it appears as input device, but BlueInput just don't connect it and no error messages appear.

It is very sad, because it is only BT keyboard around...

PS. It is working with XP and Vista: http://vista.blorge.com/2007/12/26/how- ... h-your-pc/

BlueInput is compatible with devices running the Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

Were did you see your device is compatible?

If I'm not mistaking, your HP uses the Broadcom stack

Keysonic BT Keyboards

Postby Strainer » Thu Mar 12, 2009 3:48 am

I have a few questions, regarding compatibility of the following Keyboards, manufactured by Keysonic:

ACK-595 BT
ACK-340 BT
ACK-3400 BT
ACK-540 BT

I also would like to know, if the integrated touchpad on the Keysonic ACK-540 BT would work. (It's a Bluetooth keyboard with an integrated touchpad. Unfortunately, I'm not admitted to post the URL here, but you should easily find the product using Google.

I would also like to know if German keyboard layout will be provided, as I'm more used to this layout than the US one.

Last but not least, is there any official compatibility list for BlueInput available? I'm searching for a cheap and decent Bluetooth keyboard that is guaranteed to work on my Samsung Omnia WM 6.1 Smartphone.

Thanks

Hasn't anyone tried one of these keyboards with BlueInput yet? (They should all be the same connection-wise, so one of them should do it)

Another question is, whether the Freedom Universal Bluetooth Keyboard, 1st generation would work with BlueInput. This Keyboard uses drivers with special activation, and it would be much easier to just use BlueInput instead of the original driver.

Hope someone could help me.

Thanks

In BlueInput 1.5, the keyboard panel shows that more functionality will be added, so I believe a future release will allow you to map the keyboard layout as you like.
Regarding a compatibility list, I believe the problem is that there are too many mouse devices to make such a list and test them all.

Another question is, whether the Freedom Universal Bluetooth Keyboard, 1st generation would work with BlueInput.

The original keyboard from stowaway worked with BlueMouse 1.2, so it should work with the latest BlueInput release as well.

COMPATIBILITY LIST

Postby UB » Wed Apr 08, 2009 12:24 am

It would be nice from you, if you could give us a complete list of devices, including pda phones, bt mice and keyboards, supported by BluInput.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I finally bought blueinput. It works perfectly with my xperia x1 and my microsoft BT notebook mouse 5000. Quake 3 is much more playable with a mouse 8)

There are way too many hardware devices on the market , and we cannot have them all and test on all of them.

This is why standards are for - and BlueInput is HID compatible.

Glad to hear it works. Actually a good move always is to download the trial version. If that works, so will the registered version.

Hi all!

On my current setup, SE Xperia X1, with a non official WM6.5 rom, it works almost 100%.

Scroll is not working in many screens, altought it has allways worked, in my previous devices and rom's.

But, as a plus side, moving the mouse wakes up my X1, if it goes into sleep mode, as per power saving settings. This feature has never worked in my previous devices.

All in all, I'm still a VERY satisfied client!!! :D

Compatible with Omnia 2 w Freedom Universal Keyboard 2

Postby JohnHere999 » Thu Oct 29, 2009 11:17 pm

Hi all, I updated my Rom to 6.5 from 6.1 and now the Omnia 2 won't recognize the drivers from my Freedom Universal Keyboard2. I'm wondering if BlueInput would connect my bluetooth keyboard. I think the Omnia 2 uses Microsoft Bluetooth Stack but not sure.

Re: BlueInput 1.5

Postby geraldooka » Tue Jun 29, 2010 7:12 am

Not functioning with Samsung Omnia 2 (using MS BT Stack) and Freedom Pro keyboard. Either wil work independent of each other but not when both are installed at same time. I believe the primary culprit is Blueinput as the behaviour of it when installed is odd. With Blueinput my mouse never shows as connected in the MS BT Settings window (even when it is and is functioning.) With Blueinput uninstalled and the drivers for the Freedom Pro are installed the keyboard and the mouse show as connected appropriately. Blueinput seems to alter the normal functioning of at least these devices I have not attempted to connect a headset to my Omnia with Blueinput installed but will try that shortly and report back.

Would love an update to correct this issue. Thanks,

Michael

Ok. Headset seems to list as connected when it is. So thats good. Also good is that now it appears to be functioning!!!

They still are both listed as disconnected when they are both connected.

I uninstalled both apps and reinstalled the keyboard. Paired it and got it functioning, then reinstalled Blueinput. Using the Blueinput keyboard feature I get access now.

Obviously the Freedom Pro custom keys do not function but hey this is pretty great anyways. Makes using Textmaker a real joy!

This behaviour has persisted through a power cycle (soft reset) YIPPEE!!

Problem using HID keyboard on WinMo 6.1

Postby emc2 » Fri Aug 13, 2010 10:14 am

Hi!

I have problems connecting my HID keyboard (from I-ton www.iton.cn Bluetooth Keyboard PA-BK03) and it is shipped with your Software Blueinput. But on my HTC Touch Diamond (with Windows Mobile 6.1) there is no way to connect the Driver with the keyboard. Before pairing the software knows that there is no HID device and says "No active Input Device found. You need to pair a device, using the Bluetooth control panel.", after pairing the software don't give that message, but also can't connect to the device. But the device is paired correct and "input device" is selected.

Please help!

Thanks!

I'm having the same problem to you. I'm using O2 XDA mini and winsmo 6.1, and I-ton bluetooth keyboard. I installed Blueinput driver on my device, added bluetooth keyboard in bluetooth setting but when I click connect there was only "beep" sound :(
The status tab show:
Bluetooth: On
Mouse: Off
Keyboard: Off

Anyone can give me instructions?

Thanks !!!

Re: BlueInput 1.5

Postby sdh » Thu Aug 26, 2010 3:22 pm

I have a Xema BlueKeyboard and have failed miserably to pair it with both a Samsung Omnia and an HTC Touch Pro using BlueInput. I can get the phone to recognise the keyboard, but it doesn't ever give me 'Input Device' as an available service (only COM Port I think) and also once I bypass the passkey the first time, leaving it blank, the software says I'm connected, the green light is blinking twice, but input doesn't appear to be accepted, and the phone's bluetooth setting asks me for a passcode again, with this time the 'Next' button greyed out, leaving me no option but to input 1234 or whatever, which it says is wrong and promptly disconnects.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

have paired both phones with other bluetooth devices in the past (handsfree kit etc) so I really don't know what else to try now.

Help me Obi-Wan - you're my only hope....

The HTC Touch Diamond2 and the Touch PRO2 are using the Broadcom stack. You will need Blueinput for Broadcom.
The current version is for the Microsoft Bluetooth stack

I don't think so... the HTC Touch Diamond (Version 1) uses the Microsoft Bluetooth Stack. But if not, there is no working Version of BlueInput for Broadcom Stack to download on your Homepage. Because the available link is broken!

I have got the message "The BlueInput driver is not responding. You need to reinstall this software" while using BlueInput 1.5 RC4 (driver version 1.5.Build-104). However the program works without problems at older version 1.2.
How to resolve the problem? (I use HTC Touch HD with custom RUU WM6.5)
EDIT: it's because bluetooth HID libraries were missing in my custom RUU.
