There are few cab files packed together, any description of which is for what?

I installed one of it, didnt work, just saw the plug in for a while, like someone else on xda-developers, couldnt navigate to settings/today/items, today items didnt function too.

I just added a description for those files inside the ZIP file. It is also available online:
http://www.teksoftco.com/freeware/speak ... iption.txt

What device are you using?

This was tested on a HTC blue angel (2003), and on a HTC prodigy (2005) and there were no problems.

Please specify the device type and also the ROM version so we can track down the problem that you are facing.

Thanks,
Radu

Speakerphone v1.0.002 has been upgraded.

Changes are:
- Fixed on device boot refresh issue
- Fixed Settings\Today\Items freeze that was caused by an object initialized several times because
the load/unload plugin dll caused by the today plugin container.

Please re-download it from:
www.teksoftco.com/freeware/speakerphone002

At the moment, the version number is not upgraded.

Thanks for the issue reports,

Radu

Tried the upgraded one just now, didnt work. Saw it on my today screen for a while, today screen freezed but other programs still work.

There were no speaker button on the phone too.

Hmm.. what seems to be the problem?

Oh another thing is, since the first release, it seems like it auto configure itself to hard button 1, changing the buttons setting page for "Button 1" to "Button" and losing the original calendar icon beside it. There were no icon left. I had to edit the registry to get back "Button 1" and the icon.

Hm, very strange.

should work like for the guy that posted it here: http://oldsap.blogspot.com/2006/07/teks ... eware.html

do you have any other special plugins that might interact with it or some other applications? Maybe you could make a snapshot of your today screen. also i can send you a debug version if you are willing to get this checked for your case.

Cheers,
Radu

Hi damn66,

Thanks for the lines.

I need to know on which device you've tested. Also in the snapshot i see that the speakerphone (the 4th) icon is selected(greened). For the autoanswer you need to have the 3rd icon (the phone and the green symbol), this you do it this way?

Hi cmkumar2k,

The following picture contains all the 5 buttons of this plugin:
Image
1st button: is the default option for this plugin, it doesnt have any action attached (NA = no action)
2nd button:is the autoblock call option: if this is set, when somebody calls you, the plugin will reject the call automatically
3rd button:is the autoanswer. Would pickup any incoming call after the first ring. There are no settings for these options in this version.
4th button:is the speakerphone button. Press this while in a call and you will toggle the speakerphone (hands free).
5th button: would take you to our homepage.

The next pic shows how we have added a different button in the standard phone application:
Image
You can use it to toggle the speakerphone.

In case you have other questions just shoot.

Hi artful,

thanks for writting.

the functtionality with the button inserted in cprog was originally developed for 2003 devices only. This is so because the WM2005 cprog already has a Speaker button.

You mentioned your device is already a WM2005 one. It should also have the speakerphone button as default from OS.

Nevertheless in case your OS version doesnt provide it, we could modify the speakerphone to support your device for adding a speaker button on it too.

Please post some snapshots with the layout of your Phone Application on your device (i dont have that device model so i need to see).

Meanwhile please note that Speakerphone also assigns a hardware button for toggling the speakerphone. You should use that until we get it working with the cprog for you.

Hi artful,

actually that was a good question, as a result we came up with this:

http://teksoftco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=123

this software is freeware and you can use it on many types of devices for making snapshots easily.

Hi Radhoo, its me again, a little selfish but i was thinking can i ONLY want the speaker button on the phone pad, replacing call history or better a standalone button next to "mute".

Dont really fancy the today plugin, bubble or other functions.

Mine is XDAIIi, WM2003SE.

thanks for the ideas,

a future version of this speakerphone might offer a config screen. there you could choose which indication you need.

radhoo,

I have the same problem as damn66. The Speaker button overlaps that of the Call History button. When I click this button, the call history will appear instead of the speakerphone. There is a 3rd button between the Speed Dial button and Talk button. It is blank and you may want to put the Speaker button in it. My phone is XDA II ver WM2003se. Thanks.

Treo 700w

Postby AdamK » Thu Aug 24, 2006 5:11 am

I'm looking for a way to put my Treo 700W in an auto answer mode so I can use it in conjunction with my motorcycles audio system. I loaded this program and turned on the auto answer mode. When a call comes in it does answer, but the "answer call" balloon comes up and stays, plus the ring tone keeps on playing for about 60 seconds. At that point the call times out and is dropped. So close, but not quite there. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi Adam,

You are right with this. The default phone application - cprog.exe isnt smart enough to detect that the call is already connected so it keeps on ringing.

To get rid of the bubble / ringtone, use a task manager software like this one:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtop ... ht=#344476

and kill the cprog.exe process. If you want the bubble\ringtones back restart the cprog.exe (using the same software, or simply: restart the device so cprog automatically restarts).

Cheers,
Radu

Well, I downloaded and installed the task manager app, but can't seem to kill cprog.exe?? Maybe I'm not using the app correctly. I select cprog.exe on the list and push terminate, but it's still there??

Thanks for the response! So close.....

The current freeware version is not designed to close processes that do not have a window title. You should try with a different task manager until this one will be updated.

Keep up the good work.

I'm not so lucky like the rest of you. I'm using a O2 IIs, rom upgraded to WM5.

I had also installed smartdial feature to the phone.

After installing, as per instruction, I had tested but nothing works.

I've done a few screen capture to assist in explanation (I don't have a website to hold the images to include in this post). Note that I had cleaned away some information from the screen shots.

Test 1:
1. Today_scr.bmp, shows 3rd icon selected.
2. Phone_pad_1.bmp shows phone pad.
3. Incoming_1.bmp showings incoming call. If I press answer soft key, line gets cut off. If I don't press answer soft key, the phone continues to ring.

Test 2:
1. Today_scr2.bmp, shows 4th icon selected.
2. Answered_1.bmp shows call answered.
3. If I don't press answer soft key, the phone continues to ring.

I can email the screen shots.

Thanks.[/img]

Hi zard, thanks for your mail. I have uploaded the images here too.

( yes, i know we should have a file upload feature, but our time is so short...)

So you are testing on a HTC Blue Angel with WM2005.
We'll try to see what's going on.

auto-pickup and speakerphone : automatically pickup + get speakerphone on

How can I get this option on my phone? I have a TMobile MDA and would like it to auto answer with speakerphone as the default. I would like the option to turn that feature off. The MDA has WM5. Please let me know if you can help.

PS sorry if I sound like a noob....cuz I am.

Speakerphone execution error

Postby ranju » Mon Nov 13, 2006 10:07 am

Dear support team,

Speakerphone runs only for the first time everytime I installed it on my PPC and after that it never runs. I can't see the today icons after I soft reset, even nothings happens when I click on the .exe. It runs again (for once) when I unstall and install again.

Anybody reported it before?

I like this tool very much but can't use. Pleae fix the bug it has.
